So, in an effort ot be more regular in my posting, I have decided to add two new staple postings to my week. The first one is what I am calling my "Sunday Summary." I'll answer the same questions every week, kinda giving a recap of my past week. I'm kinda looking forward to the accountability and reflection this potentially has to offer. And its been a while since I"ve developed a new habit, so... here goes notin'!

Song of the week: I don't really have one this week....

Meal of the week: Indian food with Tommy & Shiny and the Neimeyers, from Africa. Mmmmm.

Fave moment of the week: Sean waking up and telling me that I'm the most beautiful woman in the world and how he's so lucky to be married to me. All this before I even brushed my teeth!

What I'm reading now: Breaking Dawn- LOVE this... and I'm dreading the end, so I"m dragging it out, savoring e v e r y w o r d .

Verse of the week: I'm embarassed to say that I don't have one, since I honestly havent been in the word this week. BUT, my memory verse for this week is: 2 Timothy 2:23-26. Hold me to it.

Annoying moment of the week: UGH! The dentist!!! HORRIBLE experience... needless to say, I will NOT be going back and am now back to sqaure one with putting my teeth back in order now. :-)

Fave Website this week: Free Art! This guy is an artist and hides it all over Chicago and makes a scavenger hunt for people to find his art all over the city! My brother found one of his pieces today... so cool! The one David found is the 6th one from the top. So cool!! I wish I lived in Chicago!

Random thought: I want to be a location scout for movies. that is dream job # 192. Which makes me think of another question:

What I want to be when I grow up (this week): Well, this is obvious, but a location scout for movies. Get me some passport stamps, baby!!!

What I'm looking forward to this next week: Hell-oooo! Premiere week for most of my fave shows!!! Survivor, Criminal Minds, etc. CAN"T WAIT! This is what I look forward to all summer long. This is the reason for Fall. (j/k)

Las night after church, Sean and I got some Jamba Juice then came home and played Mario Party on Gamecube, for old time's sake. :-) Seal found a comfy spot on Sean's back and Duke chilled out beside me. I have one more fave foto from the week:

In completely random news, I found this Sarah Palin Name Generator. Totally funny. I LOVE Sarah Palin, and she has definitely chosen some interesting names for her five children: Track, Trig, Bristol, Willow, and Piper. If SP chose my name, it'd be... are you ready for this? It would be... Fog Piles Palin. Ew. I don't like that name. SO do your's and see if its any better and let me know! Sean's name would be... oh, LOL.... Bullpen Cola Palin. HAHAHAHAHAH.

In other news, I've cried, like, 6 times today at random TV shows. But no, I'm not pregnant. Go figure. :-)

I'm currently watching "Stop-Loss" as I write this... anyone seen it? Thoughts? I think its highly slanted, but thought-provoking, none the less.

Today, I have reason to smile. Actually, tomorrow morning at approximately 8:25, I will have reason to smile. Why, you may ask? That, my dear friends and readers, is when California's Central Valley city of Fresno will be blessed with the grand opening of its first ever Chic-Fil-A. Yes, it is true. Surely heaven has smiled upon this desert town. :-)





There were already people camping out in the parking lot at 6 o'clock this morning... the first 100 people get free chick-fil-a FOR A YEAR. We drove by to survey the maddness, just as a fire truck and ambluance were tearing into the parking lot. It was a happenin' place. Well, sweet tea and chickin mini's... HERE I COME! (And I'll probably stop by again for lunch tomorrow too. Ook, and probably dinner.)

I love Fall. It is my all-time favorite season EVER. I love everything about Fall... the smell in the air when night starts to fall sooner in the day... the briskness in my step when the air gets cooler... the crunch of freshly fallen leaves... the rich hues of amber, gold, red and deep burgundy that show up everywhere from the tree tops to store shelves... the smell of Spiced Pumpkin goodness in candles, sprays, and everything else.... I. Love. Fall.







Unfortunately, Fall in California is prety much like the ugly step-child of the seasons. Its forgotten. Neglected. Glanced over. Swept by. Hurriedly pushed aside for Winter. While my Okie friends are enjoying evenings in the 40s and 50s already, we're still cranking away our A/C just to keep the house a 'comfortable' 81 degrees at night. Even Fall in North Carolina was brilliant... the summers were hot, but the Fall came early... and where we lived you could drive and see all kinds of harvest taking place. It was so beautiful. I like the idea of Fall because its the time of year when the fruits of your labor are realized... the harvest... bringing in that which you have planted and nurtured and fed through the hot months, the long summers.... And then after the harvest, a time to start new... to till the ground, refresh the soil. Yes, I love Fall.







Sure, out here we have palm trees and beaches, but lets face it... one can only handle so much sand between your toes before it starts to get old and you start to long for the comforts of the season you've always known, loved and looked forward to. *sigh* Pity party for myself? Maybe. I'll get over it, but for right now, I'm really missing Fall and wishing I were at home in Tulsa... with the windows open and my Yankee Candles lit... decorating my house with leaves and pumpkins and golds and reds. :-/







Here's some pics I took last harvest season in NC. It was so beautiful...

As I was packing for Las Vegas tonight, I turned on the TV to give me some background noise. With all that I've been doing lately, I completley forgot that it was the RNC tonite. Sarah Palin was just winding up her speech when I turned on, and I caught the last 10 or 15 minutes of it. Can I just say WOW? I stood in front of the tiny 13-inch TV we have in our bedroom completely still, listening to her every word. I have to admit, I got pretty choked up just watching the whole thing. Which ever way this election goes, it will be one like never before... either the first woman will be the VP or the first black man will be president. (Just thought I'd recap all that incase you've been living under a rock.) As she was speaking, and the crowd was going nuts for her, I thought about the road women have traveled on to get to this point. I'm not some femi-nazi, though I believe in equal rights and all that jazz, but I was truly moved at her obvious passion and unwavering convictions that she spoke about. Her speech intrigued me, and I look forward to learning more about this self-proclaimed hockey mom from Alaska who had me laughing and crying at the same time tonight. OF course, that's not the marks of a good VP... or president for that matter. And whether it was her wit or the wit of her writers that came through, she carried herself with incredible grace. I'm looking forward to hearing more...

I'm off to spend a weekend with the best friends a girl could wish for! And man do I need to just get away for a while!!

Can I just say that lately I feel like I've been catapulted into the past... in a good way. At the start of the summer ** oh, disclaimer... this is a totally shallow and meaningless post, so if you're looking for inspiration today... you won't find it from me. But you might get a good laugh or at least reflect on a fond memory** Ok, where was I? Oh yes, at the start of this summer my all time- yes, ALL TIME- favorite band, New Kids on the Block announced their reunion. I was stoked beyond belief... I watched with bated breath their 'secondary' debut on GMA, and screamed with the rest of the almost-30-something year-old women in the audience. I debated in my head over who had aged better, and who I liked the best now... Danny? Donnie? Joe? John? or Jordan? Tough decision, yet to be determined. *sigh*
